The long journey to MILF-dom

Go on, ask me.

“So what are you doing about it then?”

Well friend, I’ll tell you. I am mostly setting up a blog and various related social media outlets with said blog name in order to share the burden of the bulge and, of course, give those pudgey fingers a good work out. But besides this, I have embarked on the 5:2 diet, tried my hand at some buggy running and purchased a kettle bell that’s now at home in my kitchen.

As the baby is only 12 weeks old, I figure it’s probably too early to start leaping around following an Instagram HIIT workout (like BBG) and I had to cancel my gym membership last month as it was costing the equivalent of the upkeep of a small pony – so I have limited options for peeling away the pounds.

So far, my fasting has been relatively successful and around 8lb has kindly eff’d off, but I still have a looooooong old way to go. Combine that with my innate inability to avoid chocolate (and muffins, don’t forget the muffins), drop pudding and enjoy fruit, and I’m thinking I need more than just a low cal ready meal 2 days a week to get me to MILF status.

If you’ve got any ideas… I’m all ears!

(Oh, and I also just wear MASSIVE jumpers everywhere #crapstyletip)

  1. Hello lovely lady! I’m not post-baby but still have some serious ‘poundage’ (as one friend calls it) to shift! I’m on the IPD; the Idiot Proof Diet, and it seems to be working. Aside from my lady time of the month where I avoid the scales completely, they are looking pretty good – 10lbs off in just over the first week! Have a look… the website is http://www.pig2twig.co.uk . Its basically a diet based loosely around the atkins style, with added bits and bobs from other diets too. IPD was created by two working mothers who wanted to – and did – shift the pounds! They managed to loose 10 stone between them! Anyway, it’s worth a look – I’ve tried the 5:2 and so many other diets, but this seems to be – for me – the best one so far!   2. What a brilliant post title! Ha! Don’t think I will ever be a MILF, but I do use the Restriction diet twice a week. Thats the one that people call 5/2 diet. Works for me, but I exercise as well. Oh and… I still eat/drink naughty stuff!
